Updating Apps is a Chore

Downloading app updates is like washing the dishes. It’s a boring activity, yet must be done.

There was a point when my app store badge count was over 100. Many of my apps already kept on crashing. I'd usually try to download the important updates immediately through my phone but oftentimes end up with a dropped connection, even on wifi. The app would then become temporarily unusable since it’s under a suspended “Loading” status. A frustrating experience.

Found out that the best way to update your apps is through iTunes. It can even be done as a separate activity altogether. You can download the updates first before running the sync.

Click the Apps tab at the left frame.

Then click the Check for Updates arrow to start downloading

This approach will also simplify the chore if you have multiple iOS devices. Download once, then sync all.
